Representatives from all the political parties who met with President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday vowed that all those who aided and abetted the suicide bombers who killed around 250 people on Easter Sunday should be brought to justice.

The representatives said the nation should place their trust in the Security Forces and give them all assistance to deal with the crisis.

The party leaders agreed that there had been a serious security lapse which has to be investigated and those responsible dealt with.

The President also said that a Joint Operations Command would be set up to deal with the situation.
