The three-member Investigative Committee appointed to look into the terrorist attacks on Easter Sunday submitted its final report to President Maithripala Sirisena this morning (10).
According to President Media Division, the final report was handed to the president by the Supreme Court Judge Vijith Malalgoda.
The other members of the committee Ministerial Secretary Padmasiri Jayamanna and former Inspector General of Police N.K. Illangakoon were present
President Sirisena appointed the committee on 22 April to look into the matters and the background of events that led to this national tragedy which killed more than 250 people.
Two interim reports of the investigations were previously handed over to the president in two stages.
