Expressing solidarity with the country’s South Asian neighbour, Maldives Speaker and Former President Mohamed Nasheed today said the world should visit Sri Lanka.
Nasheed is currently on a visit to Sri Lanka with a delegation of Maldivian lawmakers on the invitation of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Advisor to the Ministry of National Policies & Economic Affairs Sudarshana Gunawardana said.
“Sri Lanka is our second home. We received a lot of support from Sri Lanka. We want to show our solidarity with Sri Lanka. We want world to visit Sri Lanka,” Gunawardana quoted Nasheed as saying.
The delegation also includes Vice President Faisal Naseem, said Gunawardana.
