CID questions duo on arrival at the airport over connections to drug gangs
Famous singer Amal Perera’s son Nadeemal Perera and the Prisons Officer Lalith Kumara have arrived in Colombo and are being questioned by Police.
They have been deported from Dubai.
They were arrested by Dubai police after they were found partying with alleged drug Lord Makandure Madush in the Gulf City State earlier in the year.
According to a police media release they arrived in Sri Lanka on Flight No FZ 547 Passenger plane belonging to the Fly Dubai air service.
Further they have not been taken into custody at the Katunayake Airport and they are being interrogated by the Airport Criminal Investigation Department Officers and Police Narcotics Bureau.
